Purpose:

This Qualification is for any individual who is or wishes to be, involved in Ancillary Health Care
services. A learner who has achieved this qualification will integrate a range of basic awareness and
competencies to perform the roles of health promoter, assistant or health provider and assist the
health networker within a community development context.

Modules

  •  5 Knowledge Modules,

  • 6 Practical Modules,

  • 8 Workplace Experience Modules

Entry requirement:

  •  ABET Level 4 with FLC

  •  Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 (No specific subjects are required).

  •  NQF Level 2 or equivalent competencies in

  • MathematicalLiteracy and Communications

    counselling centres) through its implementation of Primary Health Care Re-engineering

    homes, mines, Health Research centres, Cancer foundation, heart foundation, diabetes
    foundation, social department, department of housing and NGOs
